Gary Baseman
Gary Baseman was born in Los Angeles in 1960, and received a Phi Beta Kappa degree from UCLA in 1982. His works appear in Esquire, Time Magazine, The Los Angeles Magazine, Newsweek, The New Yorker, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Time and many others. He works for multinational companies such as Apple, Disney, Gatorade, Kodak, Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Microsoft and Sony. Since 1985, he has taken part in several collective exhibitions and had one-man shows throughout the world: Nankai, Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles and Milan. American Illustration, AIGA, Print, The Society of Illustrators, Humor and The 100 Show all publish his illustrations. He takes part in seminars and lectures at the Graphic Communications Society (Oklahoma), the School of Visual Arts, AIGA (Minneapolis), and many other cities (Nashville, Kansas City, Toronto). His works are on display at the National Portrait Gallery. He is currently working on several projects, including animations and illustrated books.
